Poona Couplings started as a Joint Venture between Mr. Ashok Mulye (Former Executive Vice President of Cummins India Ltd. ) and Holset Engineering Co. Ltd. of UK (A wholly owned subsidiary of Cummins Engine Co. of U.S.A ) The Company was incorporated in December 1984 & Commercial production started in September 1986. The Technical & Commercial Collaboration (Holset had 20% equity in P.C.) was principally for three series of Couplings. |

1) RB : Eminently suited for General Engineering & highly successful range on medium speed & medium H.P Diesel Drives.
2) PM : Heavy duty, mainly used in mining minerals & metal processing industry. Maximum torque range 130000 Nm.
3) DCB : Highly flexible, used for large diesel generator sets & marine propulsion.
The Company has so far manufactured and supplied more than 100,000 couplings for satisfied customers in
India, U.K. & North America.
The company is QS 9000 certified for couplings as well as anti vibration mountings.
Poona Couplings sells its products worldwide through and in association with Renold Hi-Tech Couplings.
